Ummmm ... not been around much lately because although we have been eating well I haven't really had anything to blog about. With the hot weather we are having right now lots of salads have been appearing on our table in the evening along with grilled fish and meat. Typical Mediterranean fare for this time of year. The other night I grilled a big slab of rump steak that we ate off of for three days, slicing it on the diagonal and serving it up with a big plate of salad. Then we had a delicious pile of Moroccan prawns ... together with a big plate of salad. You get my drift!

Last night we were invited for a grill at the house of old friends. We drove up the mountain following a steep and winding track and arrived in time to catch the magnificent view over the countryside and the sea beyond before the sun went down. We stood around and chatted with our friends, downing pre-dinner drinks, whilst the barbecue hotted up and Marco started to prep the big plate of mixed meats for grilling. Natalie had prepared some delicious salads and dips and also some really luscious roasted slices of potato. Then there was nothing for it but to take our places and indulge. Good friends coming together in a lovely setting to enjoy a first rate grill ... that's what memories of summer are made of!

Food tastes better with good friends, I'm sure of it!
Wow that sounds great. I wish we were having some nice weather so we could have some al fresco eating.
Aah pi,
it's hotting up here too and so it starts. Endless invites to sit outdoors endless hours chatting over gorgeously prepared fresh foods and cool wines, there's nothing better.
Tx
Sigh. Sounds like a slice of heaven to me, sitting here with the rain battering down very noisily on my sun room roof!!!
Thanks for sharing, beam me up please!
Sounds like a lovely evening was had!
