Mr. P's Salad

Mr. P has given me the night off in the kitchen. He's starting to become quite inquisitive about this new blog of mine, so when he prepared a delicious salad for our evening meal, he asked ... don't you want to take a photograph? Ha ha! So in the interests of domestic harmony, here's Mr. P's Salad!

The salad was prepared directly on the plates. First of all came a bed of shredded lettuce leaves, grown by Mr. P in our small vegetable garden, then a rummage in the fridge produced half a bulb of fennel pleading to be used, so this was sliced paper thin and laid on top. A ripe avocado, some buffalo mozzarella, a couple of tomatoes, a small cucumber, and he had the makings of a yummy and healthy salad. My very minor contribution was to fry some wholewheat bread croutons to give a bit of crunch to the whole thing. Mr. P's vinaigrette, a secret recipe, was then spooned over. I reckon that argan oil figures in it somehow though as my little cache is slowly dwindling.

Deeelicious Mr. P! I often feel like a healthy, but tasty, salad just like this. Do you do take-aways? :)
love, mayonnaise.

Your blog is looking good, P. x

Thank you, Maisy, I have passed on your friendly comment to Mr. P. I must say he's a dab hand with salads, which is very useful when I am a bit pushed;) He's been asking me if anybody had remarked upon his wonderful salad since including it in my blog and when I showed him your comment he was very chuffed.
