Well it would seem that everybody's doing it these days, writing a blog that is, and so I thought I'd have a go too. Nothing too adventurous or daunting, just the scribblings and thoughts of a foodie, as and when life permits ... I think we all know about starting something new, being full of enthusiasm and ideas, and then somehow life gets in the way and it just fizzles out. So primarily to avoid disappointing myself, no promises of regular updates, it may come thick and fast and then appear to be almost at a standstill. It'll be just as it comes.
Hello and Welcome to my Blog!
I'm a British ex-pat living deep in the countryside on a small Spanish island in the Mediterranean. I've been here over thirty years now so life in the UK is just a distant memory, although I do still feel a great bond with my homeland. I love cooking and I love eating well! North African and Eastern Mediterranean are my favourite cuisines.
A little about what's happening in my kitchen and some foodie chat, in the hope of creating an interesting and entertaining place for my online pals to drop by. At the very least, in time to come, it will serve as a reminder to myself of recipes tried, successes and failures (hopefully not too many of those!), and pleasant times spent sharing a meal with good friends.
I've posted lots of lovely recipes on here, many of them old favourites, so please do take the time to check through the archives. Should you have any questions, even about old posts, please ask via the comments option, I'll be happy to respond.

Pistachio, you are off to a delicious start. It is good thinking not to put too much pressure on yourself, to post regularly. Though I am sure you will find much to share with us all.
