I just popped in to see what my friend Ilana has been up to on her blog - I Love Risotto! - and it was an unexpected pleasure to find that she's posted about a couple of recipes I passed on to her from Crazy Water Pickled Lemons by Diana Henry, it's under the very apt title "Maybe I should buy this book!" - hah! CWPL is one of my favourite cookbooks and I've found a few gems of recipes in there that are now showing up regularly on our table. Mysteriously Ilana seems to think my other name is Cashew! Do we get to see some pictures of your beautiful surroundings? I think of the descriptions you leave us, about your tranquil mornings, with the doors open, curtains wafting in the breeze, savouring the peace before a busy day begins ... I love those!

I love Diana Henrys books, particularly Roasted Figs Sugar Snow which suits the British weather more than her Crazy Water book!
