With many thanks to my dear friends Anna and Kelly-Jane for the recommendation, this was our quick and tasty supper this evening. Luckily I had everything in the house, including homemade chicken stock, and only needed to remember to get some peanut butter when I was in the village. This recipe is from Jo Pratt's "In the Mood for Food" from the Lazy section ... which suited me just fine after the difficult few days I have been having.I didn't have any medium egg noodles, in fact I have never seen any here. The ones I had were quite fine, as you can see in the photo, but I think they were okay nevertheless. The peanut butter gave a definite "satay" touch to the broth, which was lovely, although I must say I had to up the chilli flakes and soy sauce, and used the juice of half a very juicy lime, to give the kind of kick to the broth that we like. Altogether very easy to make and something I shall make again when looking for a quick 'n' easy supper dish.

Now I've seen it again I'm going to have to make it! Looks yummy.
Haha, Kelly-Jane ... yes, it's a really lovely recipe! More asiatic in style than I usually cook for some reason although when we were in those parts we really enjoyed the food.

Pi, you are leading me into temptation :) I can´t eat pasta but these prawny dishes look yummy.
Is rice a no-no too? I think you could do this with basmati or jasmine rice and it would be equally tasty.
